The Postdoctoral Research Program offers scientists, who have in recent times obtained a PhD degree in a field of natural sciences, the chance to work with research groups or leaders in Canadian government labs and research institutions situated all over Canada. In turn, the Government of Canada gains from new and developing talent.
Federal research scientists add to strategic decisions, regulations, policies, and programs by offering a sound scientific knowledge base by means of their research. Research scientists carry out their work in pursuance of departmental directives so as to attain definite outcomes and to conceptualize, identify, articulate and set in motion new outcomes in delivering programs, meeting the future requirements of the department.
